The visits come to you. You decide which ones.
Home-health agencies across New York need assessment visits done for their patients. Task Health is how those visits reach nurses.
You see what is open near you, take the ones that suit you, do the visit and finish the paperwork in the app before you leave. That is the job. There is no office to report to and no schedule handed to you.
See the pay before you say yes.
Open visits near you, each with what it pays right on it. Most are about an hour. You choose the day and the start time.

You’ve caught the tail end of the month, so this one runs to the end of the next month rather than closing with this one.

Yours to pick, in whatever weeks suit you. When the tenth is done the bonus is $150, on top of what those visits already paid.
The month is nearly out, so this clock runs to the end of the next one instead — enough time to actually do ten.

New York RNs, and eight documents.
That’s the whole list. We work in New York only, and the Department of Health requires every document below, so none of it can be skipped.
The eight documents

Missing something?
That happens. Gather it, then apply when you’re ready.
Applying is free. You upload the documents afterwards, in the app.
Start your applicationApply in two minutes. Finish in the app.
Three steps, and we’ll tell you where each one happens. The first is on this page. The other two are in the Task Health app, and all of it is online.
Step one · about two minutes
Apply right here
A few quick details and you’re done. No CV, no phone screen, no waiting on a recruiter to call you back.
Step two · fully online
Finish onboarding in the app
Upload your credentials once and we take it from there. Nothing to mail, nowhere to drive, and it can be done in a few hours.
Expect the switch to the app
The application ends on this website. Onboarding itself happens in the Task Health app, and you sign in there with the same mobile number you just used.
Still gathering a document? Apply anyway and add it when you have it. You can’t be cleared until everything is in, but nothing is lost in the meantime.
Step three · the part you came for
Start picking visits near you
Once you’re cleared, open visits near you appear in the app with the pay on each one. You choose which ones fit your week. A lot of nurses fit them in before or after a full-time shift.
$25 + $150 in bonuses
Orientation itself isn’t paid, and we’d rather say so now than after. Finishing is: $25 once your onboarding is complete, and $150 once you’ve completed 10 visits. Both run to a deadline — the dates are further up this page. If you get stuck anywhere in onboarding, support is there during business hours, by chat or a ticket, right in the app.
Free to apply, and you can start step one right now.
Start your applicationThe things nurses actually ask us.
Straight answers, in plain words. If yours isn’t here, ask us in the app once you’re in.
The work and the pay
Can I do this if I already work full-time?
Yes, and a lot of our nurses do. You pick the visits you want and say when you can go, so most people fit them in before or after their regular shift. Nothing gets assigned to you.
How long is a visit?
About an hour, usually. They're home-health assessments close to you: Start of Care, Reassessment, Supervisory, Discharge and Resumption of Care.
How does scheduling work?
You browse the open visits near you in the app and pick the ones that work for you. We confirm with the patient and let you know once it's set. No phone calls, no back-and-forth.
When and how do I get paid?
Visits pay $70 to $130 depending on the type and the area, and the amount is on the visit before you commit. Once the visit is done your pay goes out the same day through InstaPay, automatically — there's nothing for you to claim or chase.
Are there bonuses on top of the visit pay?
Two, and both are running right now: $25 once you finish onboarding, and $150 once you've completed 10 visits. Each runs to a deadline — the dates are in the Bonuses section further up this page.
How does tax work?
You're paid on a W-9. You'll fill yours in during onboarding in the app, so it's done once and out of the way.
Is there someone I can reach if I need help?
Yes. There's chat inside the app and you can open a support ticket whenever you need one, and someone gets back to you during business hours.
Getting started
Do I have to be licensed in New York?
Yes. Task Health visits are in New York only, so you'll need a valid, unexpired New York RN license.
What do I need to get started?
All of the below, because we're regulated by the Department of Health:
- A valid, unexpired New York RN license
- Personal Liability Insurance with aggregate coverage of $3,000,000 or more
- A pre-employment physical from the last 12 months
- Rubella and Rubeola immunity: blood test or vaccination records
- A negative TB lab result, PPD (TST) or QuantiFERON, from the last 12 months
- Flu and Hep B vaccination, if applicable
- A Child Abuse Recognition & Reporting (mandated reporter) training certificate. The course is free and online, and most nurses don't have the certificate yet (see below)
- A valid government-issued photo ID
What if I don't have everything yet?
Apply anyway. We can't onboard you until every document is in, but nothing stops you from starting now, gathering what's missing at your own pace and finishing when you're ready. Applying is free.
I don't have the Child Abuse course certificate. Is that a problem?
No, and most nurses don't. Two different New York requirements share that name. If you graduated from a NYSED-registered New York nursing program on or after September 1, 1990, the child abuse coursework was part of your program and the state never issued a separate certificate, so there's nothing to dig up. What we need on file is the Mandated Reporter Training certificate, and New York now requires every mandated reporter, nurses included, to complete the updated training by November 17, 2026. So you'll need it either way. It's free, online, self-paced, about three hours, and the certificate is emailed to you when you finish.
Step-by-step, with screenshotsIs there a specific form for the pre-employment physical?
Your own provider's form is fine, as long as it shows your name, an exam date within the last 12 months, a fit-for-duty statement and the provider's signature. If it's easier, download ours and take it to your appointment: it has every box we need in one place, including the TB, measles, rubella and Hepatitis B lines, so nothing comes back missing.
Download the physical exam form (PDF)Do I need my own insurance, and how do I get it?
Yes: Personal Liability Insurance with aggregate coverage of $3,000,000 or more. It's quick and affordable to arrange, and nso.com is one example of a provider nurses use.
How soon can I start after I apply?
Applying takes a couple of minutes and just a few quick details. Onboarding is fully online after that, and if your documents are ready it can be done within a few hours.
Will I be paid for orientation?
Orientation itself isn't paid, but finishing is: $25 once your onboarding is complete, and $150 once you've completed 10 visits.
Anything else, ask us in the app: chat and support tickets, answered during business hours.
Whenever you’re ready, we’re here.
Just your name, your number, a six-digit code, and where you’re based. You finish setting up in the app, in your own time.
Free, and about two minutes.
